Question from the user

Merci. >>

Auscultation and diagnosis

This vine has been abandoned and its owner is a little worried. Despite its size, the vine is not in good health. It has many spots that spread on the developing clusters. The spots are caused by an attack of mildew. The fungus is already quite developed, as it has already reached the developing clusters. In this case, there is therefore little hope for this year's harvest. Even if you don't expect a good harvest this year, you can still take steps to prevent the disease from spreading.

Some recommendations

At the end of the season, all the sick parts must be eliminated and destroyed. You can burn them or put them in the recycling centers. Avoid putting them in your composts. During the winter period, make a fairly severe pruning of the vine or fold it down. At the beginning of spring, make a preventive treatment based on Bordeaux mixture which can be renewed if necessary. You just have to follow these recommendations so that your vine is safe from disease and regains all its splendor. You too, ask your questions at The Plant Clinic!
